Welcome to End of a Species, where we document humanity’s slow-motion extinction with reason, sarcasm, and the occasional meme. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, what we do with it, and what we refuse to exploit.

Mailing List and Email Communications

If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect and store your email address. Emails are managed through Squarespace Email Campaigns, which complies with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other applicable privacy regulations.

Here’s what that means:

• You will only receive emails related to End of a Species content, updates, or initiatives.
• Every email includes a working unsubscribe link that permanently removes you from our list.
• We do not share or sell your email address to third parties.
• Squarespace may collect anonymized engagement data (such as open or click rates) to help us understand what content resonates.

We’re required by law to include a valid mailing address in our messages, which will appear in the footer of every campaign email.

Data Security

Our site is hosted and operated through Squarespace, which uses industry-standard encryption and secure infrastructure. We do not directly store sensitive personal data on our own servers.

If a data incident occurs that affects information under our control, we will notify affected users through email or a public site notice. We don’t cover things up.

Data Sharing and Legal Disclosure
